Max collaborates with film productions, agencies and freelancer to shoot commercials. Whether it’s serving as a Director of Photography or directing DoP, Max uses his skills to capture captivating visuals. He thrives in working with motivated crew members, ensuring a collaborative and efficient approach to film stories for every production.

Starting as an independent filmmaker, Max gained experience across various departments, from production over art direction to sound design. He followed his passion and specialized in telling compelling stories and capturing emotive visuals as a directing DoP.

Max’s cinematographic approach is defined by strong and precise compositions, natural yet dramatic lighting and evocative camera movement. His keen eye for unique perspectives drives him to find innovative ways to capture visuals that are both captivating and enjoyable to watch.

Young Max

When Max left Austria to do a semester abroad in the USA, he decided to bring his camera and film his journey. This decision turned out to be life-changing for him. He fell in love with seeing the world through the camera and filming his adventures. Soon, he realized that filmmaking was destined to play a significant role in his life. He followed his passion and started shooting commercials.

Private Max

Whenever you do not see Max on a film set, nor in the editing room, you can probably find him watching and studying films, riding his road bike through beautiful landscapes or playing chess.
